Critz receives Fire Fighters endorsement
Congressman Mark Critz today received the endorsement of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association (PPFFA) in the race for the newly drawn 12th Congressional District. Art Martynuska, President of PPFFA and a former assistant chief of the Johnstown Fire Department, praised Critz for his work on behalf of first responders.
“Mark Critz makes public safety a top priority and he has stood up for emergency responders both before and after his election to Congress,” said Martynuska. “The Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association and the International Fire Fighters proudly endorse Mark Critz for Congress.”
Critz has been an ardent supporter of providing funding for the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) and Assistance to Firefighters (FIRE Act) grant programs which were created by Congress to help address the significant staffing, equipment, training and health and safety needs of fire departments.
“Fire Fighters put their lives on the line every day and we owe it to them to ensure they have the resources to protect our communities while protecting themselves,” Critz said. “I will continue to fight in Congress for those who protect us every day.”
The Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association represents approximately 10,000 active and retired emergency responders.
To date, Mark Critz has been endorsed by the following organizations:
